Olivia O is the solo project of Olivia Osby of Lowertown. Her latest solo single, "Hole," is similar to her work with Lowertown, but a more stripped down and raw version. It's filled with looped vocals and electric guitar, which gives the song an almost Americana or country feel, despite the song being firmly indie rock. It reminds me of a modern version of early Liz Phair meets a more straightforward Kimya Dawson. It's an interesting and compelling song that is intimate but mysteriously sounds bigger than it is.

“It's that sad, sickening feeling in your chest that it's over and u have no longer have an attraction to someone you used to love, thinking of them turns your stomach clenches and turns, and the memories together have become tainted like fresh milk gone sour.”
