"Spiral" starts out full force the second you press play. It's a fast and heavy song that packs multiple changes into fifty-six seconds. It's abrasive and straight up punk. There might be just slightly too much melody for it to be a hardcore song. (Vocalist Sienna Cureton-Mahoney uses the slightest hint of singing with her screaming/growling vocals.) "Act Like Sisters" is an absolute powerhouse of a song, and packs more than possible into under two minutes. The song takes off in full force during the first second. There's no warm up needed for Pearl, they just start immediately. From there "Act Like Sisters" doesn't slow down at all, unless you count the breakdown as a slow down. It's loud, it's intense, and it's in your face, all in the best possible way. The only time the song slows down at all is the last twenty or so seconds when it morphs into an electronic/hip hop chill out track. Strap yourself in and prepare for the intensity that is Pearl.
