Blondshell Covers Samia
Samia released Honey earlier this year, and a collection of artists are set to release their versions of the songs on Honey Reimagined. The first is from Blondshell, who also released her own fantastic self-titled album earlier this year. Blondshell takes on "Charm You," and while it's still a pop song under her reworking, it's more of an upbeat power pop song with some mid-90's alt-rock sounds to it. This is more along the lines of the poppier side of artists like Juliana Hatfield and Liz Phair than the modern pop of Samia's original. Blondshell is becoming a favorite around here, and her skill at making great covers certainly doesn't hurt.
