Screaming Females Cover The Selecter
While Screaming Females have become punk legends in their own right, I would never associate them with ska. Back in 2020 the band was asked to cover a 1980's punk song for a special edition of the comic book series What's the Furthest Place from Here , they chose to cover The Selecter's "On My Radio." Screaming Females' covers are pretty legendary, but sometimes they can be kind of a trainwreck. (And I mean that in a truly good way, and you'll know exactly what I mean if you've ever heard their cover of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off.) What's shocking about "On My Radio" is how great it works. Screaming Females pull off a faithful cover of a ska classic while still sounding just like themselves. This one is a whole lot of fun.
