Despite only being a band for twenty-five years, I'm always convinced The Len Price 3 are a classic UK garage group from the 60's. While many of their 00's garage rock peers went with a more amped up sound, they've perfected that vintage sound. Everything about their latest single, "Emily's Shop," screams classic British invasion. It's filled with harmony (including some fantastic "doo doo doo doo"s) and the kind of guitars that would eventually inspire punk. It's hard to believe that their contemporaries are The White Stripes and The Hives and not The Kinks. If you grew up with your local oldies station and loved Nuggets compilations, you'll end up adoring "Emily's Shop."
You can listen to "Emily's Shop" below. Misty Medway Magick is due out in October on Wicked Cool Records. For more on The Len Price 3, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram.
