Hailing from Boise (of all places), Venus Love have released a new single that blurs the worlds of dance music and rock. "2 Bad 4 U" has the fuzzed out guitars of a big rock band, but Venus Love's music is also very pop and dance based. It's kind of like if Linnea's Garden decided to go more into the world of dance music instead of punk. That's not to say that "2 Bad 4 U" isn't a punk song, because it is. It's just a dance punk song without being dance punk. Venus Love are going to confuse the hell out of a lot of music writers by being all over the place, but that's also why we're going to love it.
Vocalist Gwendolyn Miller says of the band's new single:
"After years of disappointments, you start to sing a different tune. “2 Bad 4 U” was written as an open invitation for everyone to look in the mirror and see the worth standing directly in front of them. If you don’t respect yourself, nobody else will. This song is the new soundtrack for taking out the trash."
