Wonder Women of Country - "Won't Be Worried Long"

The trio of Kelly Willis, Melissa Carper, and Brennen Leigh is a dream come true, and we couldn't be more thrilled that last year's tour has led to an actual musical project. Wonder Women of Country's latest single, "Won't Be Worried Long," features Carper on lead vocals and was written by Carper and Leigh. It's a simple country song about loving classic country music. And it's basically perfect. If you're a fan of classic country without a ton of production and prefer your music stripped down, this one is for you. Then again, if that's true then you're most likely already a fan of these three artists and you already know you're going to love "Won't Be Worried Long."

Melissa Carper says of the band's latest single:

"Brennen and I got together back in 2019 to write a song about our love for old country music. When we first met each other, in 2009, we realized we shared a lot of the same influences such as Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams and the Carter Family. I think we both tend to think that the old county music is still the best music in existence and what we prefer to listen to just any time but especially when going through hard times."

You can listen to "Won't Be Worried Long" below. Wonder Women of Country: Willis, Carper, Leigh is due out March 15 and is available for pre-order here. For more on Wonder Women of Country, check out their website. Upcoming tour dates are below the song.
