Snapped Ankles - "Raoul"

It's been almost three years since I saw Snapped Ankles at Crystal Ballroom, so we're thrilled to have new music from them. The London based band is hard to describe, and so is their new single. "Raoul" isn't even remotely close to the hardcore sound I would expect based on the band's name. Instead, it's an electronic based version of post-punk. It's a synth heavy track that is filled with controlled chaos. At the Crystal Ballroom show, the music was perfect for awkward dancing, and this is reflected in "Raoul." According to the press release for the song, it's "...m a feverish conversation about geopolitics between unreliable narrators over buzzing synths and howling dogs". Y ou'll know from that if you're going to want to listen. And if you do, prepare to be blown away by Snapped Ankles. You can watch the video for "Raoul" below.
