Joelton Mayfield - "Turpentine (You Know the One)"

"Turpentine (You Know the One)," starts off as this ramblin' style alt-country song that opens with a line reminiscent of the Wilco classic "The Late Greats," but that appears to be on purpose. The track then morphs briefly into something heavier that isn't quite metal but isn't not metal, and now the lyrics seem to be Tenacious D inspired. This is absolutely killer alt-country, and it feels like we've been in an alt-country drought lately. "Turpentine (You Know the One)" is a fun and creative burst of music that will remind you of why you started loving the genre in the first place.
