Joshua David Thayer - "Beginning to See the Dark"

Joshua David Thayer has been making music for thirty-five years with bands including Fancy Trash, Hadley Transfer Station, and more. Last year, the Massachusetts based artist released his debut solo album at the age of fifty. Taken from the same sessions as It Will Still Keep Feeling Rough , "Beginning to See the Dark" is his new single. The song has this oddly spacey vibe even though it's primarily a folk or singer-songwriter track. What will suck you in the most with this new single is the slide guitar. Thayer's vocals are going to lull you in, and then the guitar is going to hypnotize you for the song's full length. It's the type of song that feels like it's building to a giant climax which never quite comes. This may sound like an odd compliment, but "Beginning to See the Dark" always feels a bit off.
