The Bacarrudas - "Lady Frankenstein"

Philadelphia's The Bacarrudas have an upcoming Halloween themed double EP due out next month, and the first single is everything we love about Halloween songs. "Lady Frankenstein" has its roots in classic/vintage rock and roll with a modern twist. It's a ridiculously fun novelty track that would still be a killer rock song even without the Halloween connection. It's a little rockabilly, a little soul, and all rock and roll. "Lady Frankenstein" is the first true Halloween song we've brought you this year, and The Bacarrudas have set the bar quite high. If you haven't started your Halloween playlist yet, this one is a great place to start.

Singer/guitarist Adam Rabuck says of the band's latest single:

"Lady Frankenstein tells the story of 'Bride of Frankenstein' from the point of view of the monster. The song takes the listener on a journey from initial excitement, to self depreciation, to grand gesture, to ultimate disappointment…much like our normal lives. Heads up, the chorus evokes a drunken singalong that could be heard at an 18th century tavern in the mountains of Switzerland."

You can listen to "Lady Frankenstein" below. The Bacarrudas Bleed Out, Get Pushed Off a Cliff, Sink to the Bottom of a Lake, and Play a Halloween Monster House Party is due out October 3 on Schuykill Beat Records and Mom's Basement Records.
