Magana - "Girl In Chains"

Photo by Andi Taylor Magana is the musical project of Jeni Maga ñ a, who has previously toured as a bassist with Mitski and Lady Lamb. She's set to release her second solo album, and based on "Girl In Chains," Magana is going to appeal to fans of both of those artists while being entirely its own thing. "Girl In Chains" is a synth heavy indie rock song that has one of the best builds in all of music. Magana just has this captivating quality that demands you focus on her music, and I don't think I've ever heard synths sound this organic before. She refers to her upcoming music as "Witchy Rock," and that perfectly describes what you're going to hear here.
