Eyesore & The Jinx - "No More Nails"
Liverpool's Eyesore & The Jinx make the kind of jerky post-punk that's been flying out of England lately. Their newest single, "No More Nails," shows what sets them apart from the pack. The song is a driving post-punk rocker, with a foreboding guitar and that oddly dance friendly post-punk groove we tend to love here at If It's Too Loud..., but the vocals are oddly upbeat. "No More Nails" is somehow dark and cheery at the same time. There's also a bit of a sense of humor to the song, which is rare in a genre that is typically very serious. It's the kind of song that you can't quite tell if it's angry or fun, and who doesn't want that?
