Olive Klug - "Train of Thought"

For her latest single, Olive Klug was inspired by Paul Simon's "musical magical chaos." "Train of Thought" has that sound where it seems to mimic a train chugging around while Klug does that rambin' thing with her lyrics. It's an upbeat song about what it's like being neurodivergent. It's an upbeat and fun folk song that our readers are going to find irresistible. Klug has this ability to release perfect little singer-songwriter songs, and "Train of Thought" is another example of this. Olive Klug isn't reinventing the folk or singer-songwriter genres on their latest single. Instead, they're perfecting the genre. "Taking Punches from the Breeze" is a gorgeous slice of folk-pop. It starts off as a pretty song, stripped back with only guitar and vocals. Once more instruments come in, the song truly starts to shine. Also, Klug adds in some elements that keep the song from merely being folk-pop. It's more like a kind of alt-folk-pop. This one is impossibly catchy with an upbeat sound that we could all use these days.
