Katy & the Null Sets - "I Wish I Had Met You in the Summer"
If you're not quite ready for fall and wish you could have just a little more summer, Katy & the Null Sets have you covered. The band which features Katy Ohsiek of foamboy recently released "I Wish I Had Met You in the Summer," a laid back track that combines indie rock with bossa nova. The song feels like the very end of summer, when you start reminiscing about the season and longing for a little more time to fit everything in. Plus, "I Wish I Had Met You in the Summer" simply sounds cool. It's a fun, lilting little track with oddly twanging guitar that is instantly infectious. This one sounds like a collaboration between Feist and Faye Webster, which certainly couldn't be a bad thing.
Katy Ohsiek says of her latest single:
"This is a sweet song about someone I had a lot of fun with! But between living in different cities and having vastly different schedules, our time together was cut short. At least that’s how I felt. I was left thinking about all the things I wished we had gotten around to. This song has been in the archives for a while, and it was a pleasure to revive! I rarely write a sweet song, so it feels good to record and release one."
