Lal Tuna - "Car Crashes"
We first discovered France via Istanbul musician Lal Tuna back in May with the release of her single "Television Forever." Now she's back with a brand new song, "Car Crashes." This new single follows a more standard singer-songwriter format, although it does have some flourishes of spaghetti western soundtracks. The whole thing feels very 90's inspired, from Lal Tuna's slightly more energetic than slacker vocals, the build to alt-rock fuzz throughout the song, and the overall vibe of the song. "Car Crashes" starts off as a very minimal, almost folky song, and then builds to an epic, all while keeping the same feel intact. This one is going to have some serious appeal to fans of modern artists like boygenius and 90's favorites like Liz Phair. Something tells me we'll be bringing you Lal Tuna's music any time she has a new release out.
Lal Tuna says of her latest single:
“I grew up fearing many things, mostly the unknown, but as I grew up and found true love, I began to overcome my fears and learned to live in the moment, embracing who I truly am. This song is about that feeling.”
