Lisa SQ - "Cold Little Fingers"

Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Lisa SQ has a new single out about her partner talking and flailing in his sleep. "Cold Little Fingers" is a fun and upbeat alt-rock track that isn't exactly a 90's throwback, but definitely has roots there. The song is quite poppy and bouncy, but some Sonic Youth tuned guitars never let it get all the way to pop. As music keeps moving further away from strict genre rules, artists like Lisa SQ get to release fantastic music that takes from any sound they happen to enjoy, and create something new just for them. "Cold Little Fingers" borrows from pop and alt-rock, and maybe adds in a tiny bit of Americana/country unless I'm just imagining that part.

Lisa SQ says of the inspiration for her latest single:

“I regularly wake up to him mid-conversation with me, unsure if he’s asleep or awake. While disorienting in the moment, I find the whole thing pretty sweet and funny.”

You can watch the video for "Cold Little Fingers" below. Lisa SQ will have a new album due out this fall. For more on the artist, check out her website.
