runo plum - "Halfway Up the Lawn"

The latest from runo plum is an interesting little folk-ish track that meanders into different and unexpected directions. "Halfway Up the Lawn" starts off as a sweet and compelling track that shows off the more poppy side of the Americana/singer-songwriter sound. If that's all the song was, it would still be a winner that we wouldn't be able to resist. But then this surprising guitar kicks in that's somewhere along the lines of if Doug Martsch went country. "Halfway Up the Lawn" is a dreamy and mesmerizing single that will bring you on a brief, just over two minute journey.
