Babehoven - "Bad Week"

It started when Topanga, CA native Maya Bon was a college student in Portland, OR, and has continued in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and currently Arlington, VT. Their latest single, "Bad Week," is a tough one to categorize. The song is filled with a sense of pain and desperation. It's an absolutely gorgeous song, with Bon's vocals achieving a level of beauty not really heard in indie rock while still keeping the whole indie rock vibe going. The addition of what may be an organ providing a feedback like drone over almost the song washes over the listener and amps up the intensity despite the song being relatively mellow.
