David Wax Museum - "Big Sur"

Image
Photo via Facebook Obviously this isn't the album version of a new song from David Wax Museum's upcoming new album, but any time we have a chance to share new music from them with you we definitely will. This version of "Big Sur" is a duo version recorded in David and Suz's kitchen. It's a quiet, beautiful song that's pretty standard folk, but we mean that in the absolute best possible way. The harmonizing between the pair has never been better than it is here, and it ends with an instrumental part that you just wish could hang on a little bit longer because the vocals at the end are just soul crushingly sad. You can watch the live in their kitchen version of "Big Sur" below. Line of Light , the new album from David Wax Museum, is available for pre-order with multiple tiers for four more days at IndieGogo . For more on David Wax Museum, check out their website .

David Wax Museum Have Launched an IndieGogo

Image
Photo by David LaMason We don't usually tell you about a crowdfunded project unless we can bring you at least a new song from that project, but this is David Wax Museum. They've long been a favorite of ours, and I believe they just might be the last artist I was able to drag Jeff out to see live. Right now they are finishing up their newest album and have launched an IndieGogo to fund it. Line of Light appears to be set for a June release, and if you know you're going to be purchasing it, why not do it now? It can be as simple as an album pre-order, but they also have some pretty sweet tiers that include a handmade Valentine from Suz Slezak, a singing Valentine, VIP concert tickets, a donkey jawbone necklace, and a duo house concert. You can find out more about the pre-order for Line of Light over at Indiegogo . It was produced by Carl Broemel and recorded in Nashville. For more on David Wax Museum, check out their website. Current tour dates are below. Feb 7 - Kenn...

David Wax Museum Launch an Indiegogo Campaign

Image
Photo by Todd Roeth David Wax Museum are a blog favorite here, so we feel like we should let you all know about their freshly launched Indiegogo campaign. They're looking to help fund the completion of their new album, Guesthouse , along with major fall touring plans. They raised $35,000 in 2012 when they were funding Knock Knock Get Up , so that is the goal this time around. They have the standard reward tiers with digital downloads, signed cds, t-shirts, etc. You can also get some pretty cool unique rewards, like a private Skype concert, VIP live experience, a song written for you, and either a duo or full band house concert (weddings aren't allowed, so there goes my dream of having them play my wedding).  To check out all the details of the campaign, head on over to their Indiegogo page . For some more information on David Wax Museum, there is always their website .
