Negative Love - "Shades from Inside"

Negative Love are a band that combines hardcore with grunge in a thrilling combination. Their latest single, "Shades from Inside," is a powerhouse of a song that comes in at an epic (for the genre) three and a half minutes. The song swings wildly between the two musical styles, with guitars fuzzed out and barreling between sounds. It does the loud/quiet/loud and/or breakdown thing, but in a much slower way. I'm also hearing some early Deftones in the song, especially in its extended ending. "Shades from Inside" might mostly be a hardcore meets grunge song, but Negative Love ends up putting quite a bit within the song.
You can listen to "Shades from Inside" below. The single is out now on Static Era Records. For more on Negative Love, check out the band on Instagram. They'll be playing a show September 28 at The Space Ballroom in Hamden, CT.
