The Planet Smashers - "Things You Do"

Montreal's The Planet Smashers have been a band for thirty years now, and somehow they keep releasing great music. Their latest single, "Things You Do," is a perfect example of third wave ska. If you're unfamiliar with their catalog of music, it would be easy to think this new song was from 1995 and not 2025. Sure, it may be half a step slower than most ska from the 90's, but aren't we all? The truly surprising thing is that "Things You Do" sounds far cooler and (dare I say it?) classier than that era of ska, even by today's standards. If you're a fan of late 90's ska, you're going to love "Things You Do." Even if you don't think you do, there's a lot to love about The Planet Smashers.
You can watch the video for "Things You Do" below. On the Dancefloor is due out August 22 on Stomp Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on The Planet Smashers, check out the band's website.
