The Promised End are a Boston supergroup made up of members of Landmines, Tied to a Bear, The Effort, Choke Up, and SkyTigers. The North Shore based band just released a new single that is being described as politically charged melodic hardcore. "Smash and Grab" fits the melodic hardcore label perfectly. It's a heavy song that just barrels full speed through the listener, but it's also surprisingly catchy. It's reminding me more of a heavier, more metal based version of Bad Religion. The Promised End have found the perfect middle ground of heavy and melodic with "Smash and Grab."
Vocalist Paul Picillo says of the new song:
"RESIST THE FASCIST, CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST AGENDA!"
You can listen to "Smash and Grab" below. For the Buried and the Broken is due out February 2 on Sound Investment Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on The Promised End, check out the band on Instagram.
