Rodeo Mouth - "Fanny's Farmhouse"

Country music has existed for roughly one hundred years at this point, so it's rare to find an artist making music that's unquestionably country but still puts their own spin on the genre. Nashville's Rodeo Mouth recently released "Fanny's Farmhouse," and it's a country song, but a oddly unique one. It's alt-country, but more because it can't be considered a pure country song. There's an old-timey feel to the song, and a sense of darkness even though the song is an ode to diners. Maybe it's the guitar tuning, but something about "Fanny's Farmhouse" is a tense listen. Plus, there seems to be a lot going on here. Rodeo Mouth have crafted a song where the main instruments are guitar and banjo, but these two don't seem to truly get along with each other. This should be a nice song... just something is slightly off, which makes it a great song.
