You might know Paul DePasquale from Vary Lumar or other bands he's been a member of in Boston over the past twenty years. Now he's back with Ghost on TV. What started off as a pandemic project is still going on with a new single, "Daily Laws." This is an intriguing song that mixes alt-rock with electronic and singer-songwriter elements. The fuzz-heavy guitar swirls along with beats that sound programmed, giving the track a unique sound. It's reminding me of early Self, Soul Coughing, and The Folk Implosion. "Daily Laws" sounds like the bigger, fully fleshed out version of a bedroom recording, and has us excited to hear more from Ghost on TV.
Paul DePasquale says of his new single:
“‘Daily Laws’ is about the art of negotiation with yourself and others. We always need to make sacrifices in life when dealing with other people, but it’s important to make negotiations with yourself. Know when to be kind and compassionate and know when to be unapologetic when being or doing what is best for yourself.”
You can listen to "Daily Laws" below. Master Silence is due out in early 2025 via Swoom Records. For more on Ghost on TV, check out the artist on Instagram and Facebook.
