Cash and Skye - "Pasadena Girls"

You might know Henri Cash from Starcrawler, and we're legally obligated to mention that Sophia Skye is the daughter of Rilo Kiley bassist Pierre de Reeder. (She refers to herself as a "C-list nepo-baby.") Their latest single, "Pasadena Girls," doesn't sound much like either of those bands. Instead, it's more along the lines of an alt-country or indie folk version of Lucinda Williams and Gram Parsons. It's so close to being a mainstream version of alt-country, but it's just slightly too off kilter for that. This is the type of song that will make you wonder what you just listened to the first time you hear it, but will make you fall in love after the second time.
