Hans Condor - "Pent-up Aggression"

Image
Photo courtesy Dial Back Sound Nashville punks Hans Condor have released a new song off their upcoming album, and if you love straight up rock 'n' roll based punk, this one is for you. "Pent-up Aggression" is loud and fast. This is just classic hard rock/punk with a little metal thrown in for good measure. Hans Condor make the kind of punk you'd expect to hear from a band that has a song called "Motorhead." They've been kicking around for fifteen years and only decided to enter the Converse "Rubber Tracks" contest not very seriously. They won, and ended up getting some recording time at Grand Victor Sound, a studio that has seen everyone from Dolly Parton to The Monkees record there. They got the most out of their eight hours and recorded five songs off their upcoming album. You can listen to "Pent-up Aggression" below. Breaking & Entering is due out November 16 on Dial Back Sound. You can pre-order a copy here . For more on H...

Hans Condor - "Breaking and Entering"

Photo courtesy Dial Back Sound Even though this is our first time bringing you music from Hans Condor, the Nashville band have been making music for fifteen years. Their latest single, "Breaking and Entering," is the kind of thrashy punk that borders on being out of control. It's breakneck rock with screaming vocals and more fuzz on the guitar than most garage rock has. This is the kind of punk that you and your metalhead friend are going to agree on. (I mean, another song on their upcoming album is called "Motorhead" which pretty much says it all...) It's the kind of song that has me longing for a packed, sweaty club with beer being spilled literally everywhere. You can listen to "Breaking and Entering" below. Breaking & Entering is due out November 16 on Dial Back Sound. You can pre-order the album via Bandcamp . For more on Hans Condor, check out the band's Facebook . Breaking & Entering by Hans Condor

Young Valley - "Til I Cross Your Mind"

Image
Photo by Walter Lyle Hailing from Jackson, MS, Young Valley have a traditional Southern sound that moves off in a direction I haven't quite heard before. Their latest single, "Til I Cross Your Mind" has a relaxed distinctly Southern vibe, along with some smooth multi-part harmonies, all over a traditional folk leaning version of the more mainstream side of the new fangled pop folk movement. It has some distinct feelings of artists like The Avett Brothers and Houndmouth. But they sneak in these edgier Drive-By Truckers style electric guitar riffs that you wouldn't expect and that don't quite fit in. It's this combination that gives "Til I Cross Your Mind" its own feeling. You can watch the video for "Til I Cross Your Mind" below. The newest self titled album from Young Valley will be out on 4/20 via Dial Back Sound. You can pre-order a copy here . For more on Young Valley, check out their website . Current tour dates are below the vide...
