Die Job - "Creature of Habit"

Image
Vancouver punks Die Job have a new single out that is pop punk for those that hate pop punk. "Creature of Habit" has all of the melody and harmonies of pop punk, but it also has a certain edge to it that most pop punk lacks. While many other bands want everything to be smooth and clean sounding, Die Job revels in making music that's a little extra rough around the edges. The vocals in particular are going to remind you of very early Green Day and Blink-182, and the song has what sounds like keys or organ that are begging you to put "Creature of Habit" on your Halloween 2025 playlist. (It's certainly going right on ours!) You can listen to "Creature of Habit" below. Hazards of Occupation is due out August 8 on Kinda Cool Records. Die Job - "Thin Blue Whine"

Die Job are a Vancouver punk band that just released a new single. "Thin Blue Whine" is an energetic and fun pop punk song that lands somewhere alongside early Green Day. The song is bouncy with just enough of an edge to keep it more on the punk side than the pop side. I believe "punchy" might be the best description of "Thin Blue Whine." I don't typically make assumptions on what a song is about, but I think we can all safely assume based on the title alone. This is pop punk with a strong political message, and Die Job may very well become favorites around here. You can listen to "Thin Blue Whine" below. Hazards of Occupation is due out August 8 on Kinda Cool Records. For more on Die Job, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram .
