"Emergency Contact" is mostly a pop song, but it has a much rougher edge than the vast majority of pop songs out there. It's laid back and dance friendly while also being fairly intense. It's also dark and gritty, and would have been considered much more alternative than pop back in the day. Grace Inspace delivers her vocals with a detached coolness while still injecting them with raw emotion. "Emergency Contact" may be hard to define, unless you want to classify it as a great song.
