Belfast's Rose Fatale take their inspiration from the riot grrrl bands of the 90's like Bikini Kill and Babes of Toyland. Their latest single, "So Mature," rips apart the grooming of young women in the music scene. The song takes on a mocking tone, with absolutely blistering guitars driving the song along. The song may be riot grrrl based, but it has a bit more of a pop leaning than any song from that genre would have allowed thirty years ago. However, the pop sound in the song makes it sound even more vicious than a straight up punk song would have. If you're just discovering Rose Fatale like we are, buckle up and get ready for this one. Hopefully this is just the start of our fandom.
