Releasing a song called "Spring is Here" right after Memorial Day is an interesting choice, but we'll roll with it when David Wax Museum is involved. The new song is the first the band has recorded in their new barn/studio, and also features David Wax and Suz Sleak's children Calliope and Moses on backing vocals, making this one truly a family affair. While David Wax Museum has been experimenting with more of a non-folk folk sound bordering on electronic music, "Spring is Here" is a return to their folk roots. This one is more along the lines of pop folk instead of a more traditional roots sound. Considering how wonderfully the duo take on every single sound they try, this is a fantastic return to form long time fans are going to be thrilled with.
You can listen to "Spring is Here" below. For more on David Wax Museum, check out the band's website.
