Tragicomics - "Hopeless Romantic"

According to their Bandcamp profile, Tragicomics are "Alt-coutry-ish," and I certainly can't disagree with that. The Manchester, UK band's latest single, "Hopeless Romantic" is a rousing song that blasts ahead at full speed. It's a mostly alt-rock song with some Americana elements. It's the kind of song that incorporates folk, rock, pop, and even prog rock in various elements. I've also never heard a violin used to such a dramatic effect as one is here. "Hopeless Romantic" is perfect for fans of bands like Wilco and My Morning Jacket, but also for fans of bands like Pulp. Chris Eatough's vocals are almost crooned at some points and perfect for live show shout alongs at others. This is a really fun song that is going to make you want to dive into Tragicomics' back catalog for the rest of the day.
