Eight Foot Manchild continue to be the world's first and best doombrass band, and they continue to prove it with each single. Their latest, "The Good Death," may just be the finest example of the genre yet. The song is much more epic in scope than it's four minute run time suggests. It has the darkness and heaviness of Ozzy era Black Sabbath with the theatricality of Dio era Black Sabbath. I'm also getting some strong hints of Clutch and maybe even some Neutral Milk Hotel within "The Good Death." (Also pretty sure that's the first time those two bands have ever been used in a sentence together...) And all of this is wrapped up in some of the most killer horns that have ever been used in a metal song.
You can listen to "The Good Death" below. The song will be included on Eight Foot Manchild's upcoming EP, Do Spirits Return? For more on the band, check them out on Instagram and Facebook.
