Brad Marino Covers The Rolling Stones

Recorded as a tribute to the late Charlie Watts, New Hampshire's Brad Marino has recorded a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Monkey Man." The original song off 1969's Let It Bleed is pure vintage late 60's Stones from the period where they could do no wrong. It's just psychedelic blues rock in the way that only they can do. Brad Marino's version of the song keeps the original intact, but adds an almost 80's sheen to it. It's a fun cover of a relatively obscure song. I always love when bands choose covers that aren't the complete obvious choice (Let It Bleed also includes the beyond iconic songs "Gimme Shelter" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want"), so hearing a cover of "Monkey Man" is very welcome.

You can listen to Brad Marino's version of "Monkey Man" below. The song is currently available at the artist's Bandcamp. For more on Brad Marino, check out the artist's Facebook.
