If you love musical comedy duos like Flight of the Conchords and Garfunkel and Oates but wished they were filtered through the DC punk scene, allow me to introduce you to Griefcat. The project of Annie Nardolilli and Louisa Hall just released a single called "Love the Sinner." The song was written about Nardolilli's time as a deputy sheriff when she spoke up about people abusing their power, which led to her being reprimanded by supervisors and ostracized in her department. It's a quiet and folk-ish song that is loaded with humor without being overly jokey. "Love the Sinner" is also incredibly punk without being punk (genre-wise).
