The New York based duo of Babehoven have a new single out that might just be their most traditionally folk song yet. "Ella's From Somewhere Else" is a somewhat ramblin' folk song that has just enough the trace elements of alt-folk to make sure this is a Babehoven song, but it's mostly just a beautiful tribute to Squirrel Flower. It's a six minute folk song built mostly on Maya Bon's vocals that never overstays its welcome. The simplicity of the song is its secret weapon. You're guaranteed to stay enamored with the song throughout its length without it making any drastic changes. "Ella's From Somewhere Else" might just be the most perfect song of the year.
