Buenos Vampiros - "Mundo Raro" and "Morir en Mi Tierra"

Image
Photo by Tobias Polanco Argentina's Buenos Vampiros' new album is due to come out in September, and they just released two new singles from it while we wait. "Mundo Raro" is a garage rock goes power pop single, just as fuzzy as it is melodic and catchy. It's one of those songs that feels both retro and modern, and it's only a few steps away from being a pop song. The second single, "Morir en Mi Tierra" is more of a Spanish torch ballad, with almost all of the garage rock we associate with Buenos Vampiros absent. They keep a punk edge to the song, though, making it still sound like it's them. Here are two wildly different songs from the same band that are able to sound like they're from the same artist. Just gives us more reasons to love Buenos Vampiros. You can listen to "Mundo Raro" and "Morir en Mi Tierra" below. El ultimo disparos is due out September 4 on Spinda Records and Casa del Puente Discos, and is available for ...

Buenos Vampiros - "No hay amor que nos salve"

Photo by Tobias Polanco Argentina's Buenos Vampiros has a new single out that blends up multiple styles in ways we've never quite heard before. "No hay amor que nos salve" is an upbeat yet melancholy track blending post punk, New Wave, and dream pop into a mixture of dark indie. I feel like this is the kind of song that many people are going to find dark and sad, but for those of us that enjoy the dark and sad, "No hay amor que nos salve" is going to be delightful. Regardless, you'll find yourself dancing your heart out and screaming along the gang vocals to Buenos Vampiros' latest. You can watch the video for "No hay amor que nos salve" below. El ultimo disparo is due out in early September on Spinda Records/Casa del Puente Discos. For more on Buenos Vampiros, check out the band on Instagram .

Buenos Vampiros - "Tengo Frio"

Image
Photo by Ariana Varela Hailing from Argentina, Buenos Vampiros have released a single that is an absolute must listen. "Tengo Frios" is based in garage and punk, but adds in multiple genres to keep everything fresh. The song has a strong sense of dream pop with all of the fuzz and dreamlike qualities of the guitars. It's an upbeat and fast track without being heavy or aggressive. It's a fun, light, and breezy song with a swirling guitar usually reserved for the likes of Sonic Youth. "Tengo Frios" is an infectious track begging for multiple listens. Seriously, just try listening to this one once without immediately going back for more. Buenos Vampiros may end up being our favorite musical discovery of the year. You can watch the video for "Tengo Frio" below. Entre sombras  is due out March 20 on Spinda Records, and is available for pre-order here . For more on Buenos Vampiros, check out the artist on Instagram .

Buenos Vampiros - "Puedo ver el mar en tus ojos"

Image
Buenos Vampiros formed in Argentina in 2018. The band have a sound that combines post-punk, New Wave, and dream pop, as evidenced in their latest single, "Puedo ver el mar en tus ojos." The song is a complete epic despite its relatively short three minute length. As soon as it kicks in, you're met with a gorgeous wall of guitar that gently entwines you. The song slowly builds and noise and volume, becoming more and more engaging as it goes on. Even the quieter parks get more intense as the song progresses. The closest artist I can compare "Puedo ver el mar tus ojos" to is Catherine Wheel as it has that shoegaze goes heavier but more pop-focused alt-rock sound going for it.  You can watch the video for "Puedo ver el mar en tus ojos" below. Entre sombras is due out March 20 on Spinda Records, and is available for pre-order here . For more on Buenos Vampiros, check out the artist on Instagram .
