Photo by Alexa Viscius Chicago's Bnny are quickly becoming an indie rock favorite around here, and really everywhere. The band's latest single, "Something Blue," is just modern indie rock perfection. It lives in that world of 90's inspired indie rock that has a modern pop sheen over it. Jessica Viscius provides vocals that have a touch of the slacker vibe to them, but it's obvious she cares far too much about the subject to truly be a slacker song. "Something Blue" kind of sounds like if Mazzy Star decided to rock out a bit harder, and used some Sonic Youth guitar tunings. You can watch the video for "Something Blue" below. For "Crazy, Baby," Jessica Viscius' band go straight up indie rock power ballad. The song starts off more folky or like a singer-songwriter track. And then the guitars soar in and "Crazy, Baby" becomes an absolute epic song. It still has a personal, singer-songwriter vibe to it, but a gigantic version of that. The song still fits right in with what Bnny has been doing, but with just enough of a tweak to keep things interesting.  Jessica Viscius says of her latest single: “‘Crazy, Baby’ is about recognizing patterns in your romantic history and yourself.” You can watch the video for "Crazy, Baby" below. Photo by Alexa Viscius Bnny, the musical project of Chicago's Jessica Viscius, is back with new music. "Good Stuff" is a hypnotic and synth-laden new single that is as moody as it is catchy. It's one of those songs that is just as mainstream as it is alternative. Viscius has quickly become a master of taking 90's style indie rock and filtering it through a more modern sound. "Good Stuff" reminds me of 90's dream pop artists like The Sundays but with a more modern version reminiscent of an artist like Phoebe Bridgers. This is a gorgeous song that will instantly suck you in and refuse to let you go, not that you'd want it to. Jessica Viscius says of her latest single: “It’s a breakup song, but it’s hopeful, optimistic even. Or perhaps it’s just the denial, hoping things will be different next time, hoping that love can save you.” You can watch the video for "Good Stuff" below.
