Dead Pioneers - "My Spirit Animal Ate Your Spirit Animal"
Our favorite Indigenous American punk band are back with a new song! Dead Pioneers released "My Spirit Animal Ate Your Spirit Animal" the day after Thanksgiving. It's an absolutely blistering punk track that reminds me of 90's punk as some metal started leaking into the sound, along with the raw energy of the proto-punk of The Stooges. Plus, there's an amazing punk meets metal guitar solo along with vocalist Gregg Deal's fiery almost spoken word vocals. "My Spirit Animal Ate Your Spirit Animal" combines artists like Pennywise, Henry Rollins, and Suicidal Tendencies. As much as we loved Dead Pioneers' self-titled album, this single has us even more excited for the upcoming album.
