Stef Chura - "They'll Never"
Photo by Chloe Sells For the second single off Stef Chura's upcoming album, we were curious if it would follow "Method Mad" into the world of abrasive grunge flavored rock. "They'll Never" does... kinda. "They'll Never" is nowhere near as noisy and abrasive as "Method Man" was, but it's much more 90's inspired rock than anything off her previous album, Messes. "They'll Never" feels like The Pretenders meets Liz Phair but with the amps turned way up, and just a little hint of Americana thrown in. Chura says of the song: I wrote this song while living in a building in Ypsilanti, MI that was not up to code. No one cared about it. The kitchen was moldy, the carpets were dirty and the house was generally unfinished. This place existed in an odd realm.
