Dean & Britta & Sonic Book Cover Purple Mountains
Photo by Samantha Tyson It's only November 6, so it's probably too early for Christmas music, but this is Christmas music done by Dean & Britta & Sonic Boom, and the subject matter is more about the weather than the holiday. Taken off their upcoming holiday album is a cover of David Berman's "Snow is Falling in Manhattan." Taken from Purple Mountain's 2019 self-titled album, the original is a laid back track perfectly suited to be covered by Dean & Britta & Sonic Boom. The cover is a bit more lush and fleshed out, and feels cheerier and possibly more Christmas-y. I wouldn't consider the Purple Mountain's original to be a holiday song, but the new version sneaks in some holiday cheer.
