Peach Kelli Pop has been a favorite around here for a while, and her upcoming EP is going to cement her blog favorite status at If It's Too Loud... "Stupid Girl" is a dream of a single. It continues Allie Hanlon's move towards more serious pop music that she started with "Cut Me Off." And "Stupid Girl" is a pure pop song, but borrowing from multiple genres. There is plenty of the indie pop the kids are going crazy about these days mixed with vintage southern California vibes a la The Beach Boys. Throw in some of the lo-fi fuzz artists like Colleen Green have been mesmerizing us with, and we're fully on board for this new sound from Peach Kelli Pop.
