Tori Amos - "Stronger Together"

The alt-rock legend is back with a new single that you're going to love if you've ever loved her music. "Stronger Together" introduces her listeners to a new character: The Daughter. It also features vocals from Amos' daughter, Tash. It's a highly if quietly political song, and it might be a little bit more pop than her 90's classics, it sits right up there with her best piano pop. "Stronger Together" is a beautiful and powerful new single, and her vocal harmonies with her daughter make the song even more stunning. Long term fans are going to be very happy with this one. cootie catcher - "Quarter Note Rock"

Photo by Colin Medley Toronto's cootie catcher have one last single before their album comes out this week. "Quarter Note Rock" is just a tiny bit too heavy to be twee. It's a pretty little song somewhere in between indie pop and indie rock. It's a perfect song for a little dance or just to sway slightly. It's a little too peppy to be dream pop, but it's really close. We've been loving cootie catcher's singles that we've heard so far, and this one seems a little extra special. It's the kind of song that gets a little more rockin' as it goes on, but so slowly that you won't even realize it until the drums take over towards the end. "Quarter Note Rock" is something truly special, and we're waiting for their album with even more anticipation.
