Megadose - "The Voyeur"

"The Voyeur," the latest single from Seattle based Megadose, continues their sound of being almost mainstream alt-rock but goes off in a slightly off-kilter direction. The song is piano heavy, which gives the whole thing a certain Ben Folds Five kind of sound. But despite the song being a ballad, this isn't quite a Ben Folds Five style piano ballad. There is more of an alt-rock crunch to the song, kind of like if they jammed with Archers of Loaf. It's an interesting sound that is on one side oddly comforting and familiar but also pushes your boundaries unexpectedly.
