We've compared his previous singles to T-Rex, and "Out of Touch" is no exception. This is glam rock meets power pop at its very finest. Everything about "Out of Touch" is huge. I don't know if any artist came out and immediately sounded ready made for arenas quite like Billy Tibbals does. In fact, if you told me this was from some lost 70's megastar that history forgot, I would completely believe you, even with the mentions of emails and texts. For an added bonus, "Out of Touch" might be Tibbals' most theatrical single yet (if you're into that, and we definitely are!) "Dream Away" certainly doesn't sound like it was recorded in 2024 by any stretch of the imagination. This is a pure 1970's power ballad. It's the kind of song that your parents (or grandparents, I suppose) could have danced to at their prom. "Dream Away" sound like if T. Rex and Cheap Trick had truly conquered the world and been bigger than Led Zeppelin. It could have ended coming across as a little cheeky or cheesy, but Tibbals delivers the song so earnestly that you just can't help but love it. Billy Tibbals says of his latest single: "It might be my favorite song I've ever written. I think it captures pretty much exactly how I feel about this strange modern world we live in. Tibbals was born and raised in London before his family moved to Los Angeles when he was eleven. His latest single, "Burn Out!," sounds much more 70's London than 2024 Los Angeles. It's pure glitter and glam. If you told me that Tibbals was recording a lost T. Rex song, I would completely believe you. "Burn Out!" is just pure rock and roll fun and swagger mixed up with the best parts of power pop and glam. Sometimes you just want rock that's fun, and that's what Billy Tibbals provides. Billy Tibbals says of his new single: “‘Burn Out!’ is the wild opening track of the new record. It’s a sort of cautionary tale of a jaded rock and roll star.  I guess it’s sort of expressing my fears of falling into some of those less appealing clichés of the genre. That’s not gonna happ...

"Hurt so Bad" has a 60's and 70's sound that is going to instantly remind you of artists like The Kinks and T-Rex. We never get sick of that sonic sensation, so we're always in for bands that throw back to those artists. But Tibbals also has a little bit of that early 00's garage rock sound of The Strokes. It might be more along the lines of the edge of early Strokes than their sound, but it's definitely there. "Hurt so Bad" is the kind of retro sound you're going to become smitten by, even after you realize that it's time to be nostalgic over the early 00's... You can listen to "Hurt so Bad" below.
