The project's newest single, "OCCAM'S RAZOR," is an electronic noise track that borders on being pure noise and pop music. The song is incredibly abrasive, but also oddly catchy and poppy. It starts off as almost pure bleep and bloop meets chaos, and then slowly the poppier side of the song starts revealing itself. You're not going to know if you should listen carefully to all the layers or if you should dance your ass off. Both are appropriate at different times throughout the song's almost five minute length, but you'll need to do what's in your heart. "OCCAM'S RAZOR" is a fun, if challenging, track that is going to be beloved for those that get it. You can listen to "OCCAM'S RAZOR" below. Wobbly is the musical project of San Francisco multimedia artist, composer, and improviser Jon Leidecker. He's also a member of Negativland and Thurston Moore Group. His latest single under Wobbly, "White Eggs," is a bizarre electronic song with Ana Machado on vocals. It's experimental electronic music that still has enough of a semblance of song structure to be mostly able to be danced to... kinda. It's a little jerky and has a unique rhythm that doesn't exactly make sense, but this isn't just experimental electronic music to stroke your chin to. It's relatively laid back, but will still inspire movement in the listener, as long as they have an open enough mind. You can listen to "White Eggs" below. Photo by Matt Lief Anderson Whenever we get a submission from Hausu Mountain Records, we know we're in for something unique. The latest is the new single from New York City's Kill Alters. Led by Bonnie Baxter, the band is set to release their debut full length and "Dissect Me" is the first song off of that album. The song starts off with an intense burst of noise. If you can last the first fifteen or so seconds, you're in for a treat. (Of course, if you can't "Dissect Me" probably isn't for you.) Although the noise never quite goes away (and why should it), it slowly fades away revealing the song underneath. "Dissect Me" is a clusterfuck of multiple genres all coexisting together, sometimes happily and sometimes in direct opposition to each other. The song is equally laid back and intense while combining 90's indie rock, digital hardcore, hip hop, noise rock, and who knows what else you'll pick up on. It's the kind of song t...
