Lobsterbomb - "Nightbird"

Image
Photo via Facebook Berlin based post-punk band Lobsterbomb have a new single out, and it's perfect for those of us that love darker music. "Nightbird" is going to feel like a comforting blanket for fans of bands like Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Cure. It's dark and moody music that is begging you to dance to it. And "Nightbird" grooves plenty hard enough to inspire your best brooding dance moves. This is the kind of song that I would consider to be fun but the vast majority of people out there will consider depressing. But just listen to how intensely Lobsterbomb groove on this single, and I challenge you not to have fun lightly bopping along to it when no one is looking. Guitarist Crayon Jones says of the band's latest single: “ Nightbird  is a song for insomniacs and people who find their creative energy after the sun goes down. A song for when the world around you is dark and quiet but your mind is racing with ideas." You can watch the vid...

Lobsterbomb - "Not Again"

Image
Photo by Unlost Films Lobsterbomb are an indie punk band out of Berlin, Germany. This week they returned with "Not Again," their first new music since 2023. The song is a delightfully noisy two minute burst exquisitely heavy on fuzz, but with enough groove that you'll want to dance to it. The song will bring you back to the early 00's garage rock revival, with the indie sleaze of The Strokes and the most unhinged side of The White Stripes. It's a punchy song accentuated with explosive drums and guitars that don't care about you. Crayon Jones of Lobsterbomb says of the band's latest single: “Not Again is about being honest with yourself. How it is good for you to be self reflective and accept that problems exist in order to be able to work on them. The music is as urgent as the need to figure out your issues.”  You can listen to "Not Again" below. For more on Lobsterbomb, check out the band on Instagram and Facebook . Not Again by LOBSTERBOMB
