It has a base of 70's style AM radio country/folk with afropop drums, giving the song a much more jubilant feel than you typically get in a song this chill. In the 90's, he moved to the US due to political unrest in his country and to pursue his musical career here. Unfortunately, things didn't work out and he ended up taking a job as a nurse and now lives in Tennessee. After working as a nurse for thirty years, he's retired and is starting up his musical career again. The sixty-seven year old's new single, "Birds Go Die Out of Sight (Don't Go Home)," is a delightfully intriguing mix of Afro-pop and 60's and 70's country folk. It's a cheerful and upbeat song that has that perfect timeless quality that could have come out any time during the last six decades.
