If It's Too Loud...

The latest single from Hallelujah the Hills combines many aspects of the band. Hallelujah the Hills have always had a bit of an experimental side, as some of their releases prove. I'm You , their upcoming album, promises to be more on the rock side of their releases, but "It Still Floors Me" allows them to indulge in their artsy side. Also, singer Ryan H. Walsh wrote a book about Van Morrison's 1968 album Astral Weeks , and through that book he met John Payne, the flute/alto sax player on Astral Weeks. "It Still Floors Me" features a guest appearance from John Payne. Walsh explains:  "This is the third single from the forthcoming  I'm You , titled 'It Still Floors Me.' There are two things Boston's Hallelujah the Hills do incredibly well: Catchy roots based rock songs and experimental instrumental noise rock. Their sixth album, Against Electricty, was just released yesterday and it fits squarely in the latter category. Against Electricity was created by the band to act as a soundtrack to singer Ryan H. Walsh's book Astral Weeks: A Secret History of 1968 . Unlike most noisy, experimental, instrumental music, this album is actually pleasant to listen to (mostly). It also features a killer line up of guest musicians, including Dave Curry (Thalia Zedek Band, Willard Grant Conspiracy), Tanya Donelly, Dana Colley (Morphine), Marissa Nadler, and Fenway Park organist Josh Kantor.
