Jacqueline Tucci - "Sweeter Things"

Toronto's Jacqueline Tucci has snuck in and become a favorite around here. Her latest single, "Sweeter Things," has a great mid-90's alt-rock/singer-songwriter feel to it. It's snarky as hell, and is about wanting to use her voice in music but feeling pressure to not say anything to make people upset. It's filled with crunchy guitars and an impossibly catchy chorus.

Jacqueline Tucci explains the song:

“'Sweeter Things' emphasizes the importance of being true to yourself and speaking up for what you believe in. The lyrics are tongue-in-cheek but the message is sincere.  I think a lot of women, in particular, sometimes feel like we need to live a certain way based on someone else’s standards, but it just isn’t realistic.  You know what matters to you and you should stand up and speak up for that."
